I’ve been doing hair professionally since 2015. I graduated beauty school in 2017 with my associates in Cosmetology and hit the ground running. I began the Rudy’s Barbershop internship and learned SO MUCH from my wonderful instructors there, and later my awesome coworkers at the Pioneer Square and Capitol Hill Rudy’s locations. I really uncovered a passion for barbering and cutting of all kinds. I constantly strive to learn more and expand my skills. In January 2020 I got the awesome opportunity to start work in downtown Bremerton at Uptown Barbershop, where my skills and knowledge continued to grow. I learned classic barbering techniques and how to integrate them with more modern styles and techniques. I am very proud of how far I have come and I fucking love what I do.
As much as I love hair cutting, detailing to create the perfect shape, and showing off the beautiful angles of a persons features, I also have a passion for hair coloring, specifically blonding and fashion colors. I had my hair melted off by a “professional” when I was 13 years old and from then on decided that if anyone was going to be messing my hair up it would be me. I learned through trial and error (and internet research) some techniques on how to use bleach properly and how to do cool effects ranging as extreme as leopard print, cow spots, and zebra striping effects. I truly let my artistic side show when it comes to hair coloring, whether it be foil placements, creating a color formula that provides depth and dimension to your natural color, or freehand painting with lightener and/or fashion colors. I truly love everything about color and creating light and dark effects, bringing out beautiful undertones in my clients skin, making their eyes pop, and just making them feel beautiful.
Before beauty school, my entire adult career consisted of working in the pet care industry. I started as a dog bather, worked in doggy daycares, boarding facilities, and even attended courses for veterinary assistance.
